Domaine Vincent Dancer is one of Burgundy’s most respected small estates, producing some of the region’s most sought-after white wines in tiny, highly allocated quantities. Originally from Alsace, Vincent Dancer arrived in Burgundy in the mid-1990s and fell deeply in love with the art of winemaking. Entirely self-taught, he established his eponymous domaine in Chassagne-Montrachet in 1996. Dancer quickly earned a reputation as a forward-thinking pioneer, becoming the first grower in Chassagne-Montrachet to receive organic certification—a rarity at the time and still notable today. His wines, known for their precision and site expression, come from exceptional parcels in Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Puligny-Montrachet.

Kei Shiogai is a force to be reckoned with. Originally from Tokyo, Kei fell in love with wine while working various industry jobs across Japan and New Zealand. His desire to pursue viticulture and vinification led him to Burgundy, where he was welcomed by a family in Dijon back in 2014. From there, Kei worked tirelessly to pursue various wine-focused diplomas, while simultaneously learning French along the way.

Charles Lachaux is one of Burgundy’s most exciting up-and-coming winemakers today. In addition to running his family winery, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Charles founded his eponymous micro-négociant label a few years back, which is based in the heart of the hallowed Vosne-Romanée appellation.

Brothers Raphaël and Vincent have helped transform the domaine into one of Champagne’s most lauded houses. Since they have been ploughing the soil already for 20 years, malolactic fermentation never starts at their cool cellars in Ludes, in Montagne de Reims, so the champagnes retain their bright acidity. Raphaël and Vincent work with oak so masterfully that it never overpowers their terroir-first approach. “When you work in a great terroir with healthy vines and pick ripe grapes, nature is the true master. I trust the soil even more than myself,” says Raphaël. The Bérêche brothers age their premier cru and grand cru champagnes in the bottle under regular cork instead of a widely used crown cap, which adds to the wine’s complexity.

Giovanni Rosso is one of those winegrowers who contributed to build the success and fame of Nebbiolo. For over 100 years the Rosso family has cultivated 10 hectares divided among the most prestigious crus of Serralunga d'Alba. The land of Serralunga d'Alba is one of the best and most unique in the world, with soil typology, altitude and exposure which vary from one cru to another, requiring a diversification of processing and an extraordinary savoir-faire. Only this way, the goal of creating a wine that is able to maintain a close relationship with the terroir and represent it is pursued with great results.
