Paul Gros
History and Terroir
Paul Gros, a dedicated winemaker from the Gros family, leads the family domaine in Vosne- Romanée under Anne Gros’ guidance. In 2022, he launched his label with inherited Gros. Frère & Soeur vineyards, crafting a Bourgogne Rouge (Croix d’Argent), Vosne-Romanée village (Les Communes), and a unique Echézeaux (Beaux Monts Bas).
Farming and Winemaking
These wines reflect Burgundy’s Côte d’Or terroir: limestone-rich soils for the Bourgogne Rouge, clay-limestone for Vosne-Romanée’s elegance, and stony soils for Echézeaux’s intensity. Paul’s meticulous vineyard management, including green harvesting, ensures vivid terroir expression. Paul’s wines use whole clusters for aromatic depth, prioritizing longevity over early drinkability. His restrained approach crafts structured, terroir-driven wines that honor the Gros legacy while showcasing his distinct vision.
