Domaine de Marzilly - Champagne Ullens
History and Terroir
Created in 2012, Domaine Marzilly is located just outside Hermonville in the Massif de Saint-Thierry—Champagne’s northernmost region. It is here that Champagne Ullens was born, the result of a personal project driven by curiosity and commitment to terroir. Though young by Champagne standards, the domaine is rooted in a deep respect for place and process, and plays a key role in the quiet revival of this lesser-known corner of the region.
Farming and Winemaking
All cuvées at Marzilly are vinified parcel by parcel, exclusively in oak barrels crafted from trees grown on the estate’s own land—a rare and deliberate choice that reinforces the domaine’s full-circle approach to production. The cellar, built from old stone, houses a patient élevage that prioritizes texture, structure, and transparency. These are Champagnes shaped by intention, and by the conviction that great wines begin with great decisions in both vineyard and cellar.
