History and Terroir

Davide Fregonese, a Piedmont native, established his winery in 2014. He focuses on producing small quantities of exceptional Barolo wines from two distinct single vineyards, Ceretta and Prapò, both situated in the renowned Serralunga d'Alba town.

Farming and Winemaking

Fregonese employs traditional winemaking techniques, including using native yeasts for fermentation, in concrete tanks and aging his wines in large oak barrels for up to 30 months. This approach results in Barolos that are both powerful and sophisticated and supple tannins, with the Ceretta wines exhibiting robust cherry and licorice notes, while the Prapò wines showcase elegant violet and spice characteristics.
