Domaine Chavy-Chouet
Romaric Chavy

History and Terroir
Romaric Chavy helms a long-established estate in the Côte de Beaune, continuing a winemaking legacy as an eighth-generation vintner. With deep roots in the renowned villages of Puligny-Montrachet on his father's side and Meursault on his mother's, Romaric's heritage is steeped in the rich viticultural traditions of Burgundy. From the young age of 12, Romaric began honing his craft under the guidance of his godfather, acclaimed winemaker François Mikulski. This early start was complemented by international experience, with Romaric working in prestigious wine regions across Spain, Greece, and South Africa. The estate spans 15 hectares of sustainably-farmed vineyards across 14 appellations. Romaric expertly marries tradition with modern techniques, ensuring minimal intervention to let the terroir speak through each bottle. The result is a portfolio of wines that showcase a beautiful blend of racy, precise, and mineral-driven whites alongside structured, fruit-driven, and sophisticated reds. The vines, with an average age of 40 years, impart depth and character, making each wine a testament to the estate's enduring legacy and commitment to excellence.
