Domaine Bruno Colin
Bruno Colin

History and Terroir
Based in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, the modern-day portion of the Colin story begins with Michel Colin-Deleger, who represented the family’s fourth generations of grape growers in Burgundy. Upon retiring in 2003, Michel passed the reins onto his two sons, Philippe and Bruno, who divided the holdings and began their own respective projects. Today, Bruno farms a total of 8.55 hectares of vines which are spread across five different communes in Burgundy.
Farming and Winemaking
Across these five prestigious areas, which include Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay et Dezize les Maranges, Bruno breaks the holdings down into thirty separate parcels, which he meticulously vinifies into 20 separate cuvées. Half of Bruno’s holdings fall under premier cru designation – nothing short of impressive for a young winemaker establishing his own name within the region! In the cellar, Bruno implements traditional vinification techniques, then ages his wines 12 months in wood and 6 months in stainless steel tank until bottling. His house style is one of balance and sophistication, with aromatic complexity and textural mouthfeel always at the helm of each wine produced. It is this meticulous attention to vinification—coupled with the outstanding pieces of land that Bruno works with—that leads to such complex, ageworthy wines.
