ABOUT THE ESTATE

A native to Champagne, Jérôme Dehours has been producing site-specific wines within the region far before doing so was popular.

The estate was founded by Jérôme’s grandfather in the 1930s and after his father’s passing, its ownership changed and the business was run by a financial group. Jérôme made it his life mission to reclaim the estate and produce quality-focused Grower Champagnes. In 1996, Jérôme was able to buy back the estate with the help of his brother-in-law, Jean-Marc Laisne. Inspired by the organic and site-specific approach of Anselme Selosse, Jérôme sought to create textured, terroir-focused wines that reflect each of his unique vineyard plots. Today, he organically farms 42 sites across 14.5 hectares of vines in the Marne Valley. Additionally, Jérôme also chooses to focus on Pinot Meunier, the underdog variety of the Champagne region. Dehours & Fils wines are known for their texture, richness, and nutty undertones.
